Chiropractic Inclusion in Public Health Service Programs

Join Dr. Dana Madigan for a webinar that will discuss public health service programs, specifically the US Public Health Service Commissioned Corps and National Health Service Corps. The mission, included health professionals, and history of inclusion of those health professionals will be discussed to add context for how chiropractors may also contribute to public health service programs. Specific outcomes, barriers, and additional public health service opportunities will be discussed. This information is directly related to legislation regularly introduced by the ACA in support of the inclusion of chiropractors in public health service programs.

Dr. Dana Madigan is a faculty member at National University of Health Sciences and a PhD candidate in public health at the University of Illinois at Chicago. She serves on the ACA Commission on Diversity, Editorial Review Advisory Board, Clinical Guideline Review Task Force, and Student ACA Committee and in the Chiropractic Health Care section of the American Public Health Association. Her interest in how chiropractors work collaboratively to improve the health of their communities was solidified after completing the Albert Schweitzer Fellowship (Chicago-area), a year-long program for health professional students to implement a project that aims to reduce health disparities.
