Participating in Patient Centered Medical Homes

This webinar will share Dr. Lehman's experiences as a chiropractic physician within a Patient Centered Medical Home, which is also a Federally Qualified Health Center and a Community Health Center. Dr. Lehman will describe the work environment, types of employment, credentialing and patient demographics. Participants will learn how to function within a coordinated care organization as a chiropractor.

Dr. James J. Lehman is a board-certified, chiropractic orthopedist, tenured, Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences, and Director of the only 3-year, full-time neuromusculoskeletal medicine residency program leading to board certification as a chiropractic orthopedist. He has taught post-graduate chiropractic orthopedics since 1998. Dr. Lehman has been recognized as Academician of the Year by the American Chiropractic Association and Professor of the Year by the University of Bridgeport, School of Chiropractic. Currently, Dr. Lehman is the Director of the University of Bridgeport Clinics and the Community Health Clinical Education Department.  

He provided sports medicine, clinical rotations for fourth-year chiropractic students with the Bridgeport Bluefish professional baseball team for 10 years. While practicing in New Mexico, he mentored fourth-year University of New Mexico medical students. Currently, Dr. Lehman is credentialed as a chiropractic specialist with the Community Health Center, Inc. of Middletown, Connecticut.
