Pediatric Imaging

This course will cover utilization and indication for different imaging modalities in the pediatric population. We will discuss common pathologies that present such as hip dysplasia, slipped epiphysis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis and child abuse.
Learning Objectives
- Recognize the utilization of imaging modalities for common pediatric musculoskeletal pathology.
- Identify imaging features of common pediatric musculoskeletal pathology.

Alicia Yochum

Dr. Alicia M. Yochum received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Point Loma Nazarene University and then worked in the ICU for one year before matriculating to Logan College of Chiropractic where she graduated Sum Cum Laude in 2011. She completed her imaging residency at Logan in 2015 and received her DACBR becoming the first second generation DACBR in the history of chiropractic. She has performed editorial review for the Journal of Chiropractic Medicine and she serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of the Academy of Chiropractic Orthopedics (JACO). Dr. Yochum has published many articles in peer reviewed journals and has lectured around the country as well as in England. Germany, Australia and New Zealand. She completed her fellowship in musculoskeletal advanced imaging at Logan University with an emphasis on musculoskeletal diagnostic ultrasound. Dr. Yochum is currently practicing in Denver Colorado.
