The Transgender Athlete
- Registration Closed
Transgender athletes are a special population group that are becoming more prevalent in our practices, but they are not new to the realm of sports. Looking historically at the progression of female athletics can provide an understanding of the current rules and regulations. Providers need an understanding of the rules and regulation of play for the athletes. Along with common conditions and concerns for the transgender athlete, it is important to understand documentation and billing. In this webinar, Dr. Melissa MacDonald will examine the role that chiropractors play in the treatment of transgender athletes.
