This presentation is designed to increase doctors’ knowledge base on the positive promotion of lifestyle to patients while addressing nutritional deficiencies related to cardiometabolic health. We will explore clinical options available to provide support for the improvement of cardiometabolic health, the endocrine system and healthy aging. 

Upon completion of this presentation, learners should be able to:  

  • Identify the problem of nutritional deficiencies involved in the endocrine system and aging in our current environment that may affect cardiometabolic health. 
  • Analyze information concerning utilization of whole food supplementation, proper lifestyle for wellness and dietary choices to promote a healthy cardiometabolic system. 
  • Integrate the use of nutritional supplementation to restore, repair and renew the human systemic system by incorporation of patient education to support a healthy endocrine system and a healthy aging process. Additionally, provide testing protocols for pre and post supplementation to support cardiometabolic health.

Kimberly Besuden, DC, CFMP, ACBN pen

Kimberly Besuden, DC, CFMP, ACBN, brings 25 years of skilled alternative health care to the training table. She combines her passion for wellness by bringing balance through chiropractic, fitness and nutrition. 

Dr. Besuden completed her chiropractic education and training at Life University in Marietta, Ga., in 1994. She was named Clinician of the Year at graduation. She is also a 1982 graduate of Purdue University. She was trained as an educator and taught in the Orange County Public School System (Orlando, Fla.) in the mid-80s. She continued her passion for wellness by creating a personal training company called Ultimate Fitness. 

Now in a successful private practice as a chiropractic physician and certified functional medicine practitioner, she promotes wellness to her patients and practices what she preaches. As an author and frequent radio guest and contributor to magazines, newsletters, and online journals, she has insights, education and specific life and wellness tools to share with audiences of all types. She is a national speaker for corporations and teaches continuing education to doctors.
