Steven T. Huybrecht, DC
Dr. Steven Huybrecht was raised in northern Wisconsin on the shores of Lake Superior and earned his BS in Exercise Sport Science from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He continued his education at Northwestern Health Sciences University where he earned a doctorate in chiropractic. During his time at NWHSU, Dr. Huybrecht was involved in various clubs, most notably with the Student American Chiropractic Association where he held multiple chapter roles, including president, before being elected as the National Chair for the 2013/14 term. During his last trimester at NWHSU, he moved to North Carolina and worked in physical medicine and rehabilitation at High Point Regional hospital in the inpatient rehab center under the direction of Todd Reiter, MD, DC. He’s served on the Wisconsin Chiropractic Association’s Government Affairs Committee, the American Chiropractic Association’s Membership Committee and Millennial Think Tank, along with participating in the ACA’s Leadership Apprentice and Mentor Program. Currently Dr. Huybrecht is the Integrated Clinical Practice Resident at the VA St. Louis Health Care System under program director Pamela Wakefield, DC. He is working towards completion of the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician program and board certification in chiropractic acupuncture. Dr. Huybrecht’s professional interests include chronic pain management for veterans, organizational leadership, and state and national advocacy. Personal interests include traveling, hiking, kayaking, cooking and exploring.
Jordan Knowlton-Key, DC, MS, NREMT, CSCS, ASP, DACBSP®, ICSC
Dr. Jordan Knowlton-Key currently serves as the chiropractic sports physician at the Lake Placid United States Olympic and Paralympic Training Center. He completed his chiropractic doctorate at Northwestern Health Sciences University (NWHSU) and obtained his Masters of Exercise Science from Concordia St. Paul University. After graduation, Dr. Jordan completed a two-year sports chiropractic residency at NWHSU’s Human Performance Center (HPC), a clinic of NWHSU that focuses on integrative health care for athletes.
Following his residency, he served in a faculty position as the Integrative Sports Care Coordinator of the HPC. He developed a specialty in managing concussions and associated head injuries, leading him to present for numerous organizations on a national and international level on these topics. His passion for outdoor adventure sports led him to become an Alpine Ski Patroller in addition to being an emergency medical technician.
Brian Nook, DC, DACBSP, ICSC, FICC
Dr. Brian Nook is an experienced chiropractic educator, administrator, and clinician with a long-standing career in academic leadership and sports chiropractic. He currently serves as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs at Palmer College of Chiropractic West in San Jose, California, where he oversees curriculum, faculty, staff, and students, and teaches within the chiropractic program. He also serves as Secretary-General for the International Federation of Sports Chiropractic (FICS) and is active faculty in its education programs.
Dr. Nook has held senior academic leadership roles internationally, including Dean and Head of College at the Australian College of Physical Education and School Dean for Chiropractic and Sports Sciences at Murdoch University, where he helped establish and expand chiropractic, sports science, and exercise physiology programs. His work includes curriculum development, accreditation, strategic planning, and the management of large academic teams and multimillion-dollar budgets.
A Diplomate in Sports Chiropractic, Dr. Nook has served as a team chiropractor at numerous local, national, and international sporting events, including four Olympic Games. He has a strong interest in manual and manipulative skill development, particularly in sports and extremity care, and is deeply committed to preparing students for high-level clinical practice.
